David Wright expected to play in minor league games Monday

PORT ST. LUCIE -- David Wright will likely play in a game Monday, possibly two at the same time.

The Mets captain, who has been held back by spinal stenosis this spring, is expected to take at-bats in minor league games on Monday.

"Were going to meet with the medical staff Monday and see where he's at," Mets manager Terry Collins said "He'll face live pitching here in a few days."

Wright said he has progressed through all the checkpoints -- like running the bases and cutting and turning -- that the medical staff has asked him to do.
