Outfielder Darrell Ceciliani has been traded to the Blue Jays for cash considerations, the Mets announced on Tuesday.
Ceciliani was designated for assignment last week to make room on the roster for Yoenis Cespedes, who is scheduled to address reporters on Wednesday for the first time since his unexpected reunion with the Mets.
Ceciliani, 25, hit .206 with a home run and three RBIs in 39 games with the Mets last season. He was a fourth-round draft pick in 2009.
