LAS VEGAS — Matt Harvey might have finished the exhibition season with a whimper, but the Mets aren’t concerned.
A day after the stud righty surrendered a three-run homer to the Nationals’ Ryan Zimmerman over a two-inning stint and then declined to speak with the media as pushback for unflattering headlines regarding his self-described urination habits, pitching coach Dan Warthen said all should be well for Harvey in the season opener on Sunday.
In Harvey’s previous outing, he allowed six earned runs over three innings against the Astros.
“His arm feels great,” Warthen said.
