Curtis Granderson’s winning diet includes mac and cheese

When Curtis Granderson isn’t taking big swings that notched him 26 home runs this season — he’s taking big swigs. The 6-foot-1, 200-pound Mets right fielder keeps it simple for his pregame ritual: drinking a lot of water to stay hydrated.

Despite the pressures of the postseason, Granderson, who came to the Mets last season after four years with the Yankees, says he doesn’t dabble in fad diets or fitness regimes like the paleo diet or CrossFit.

And with the grind of 162 games during the regular season, he doesn’t have to go to extremes.
