When the New York Mets signed Curtis Granderson before the 2014 season, it was one of the beginning steps they took towards becoming a contender. Granderson was a winner on an off the field providing veteran leadership the Mets needed.

Granderson announced his retirement after a terrific 16-year career, which resulted in three All-Star selections and a silver slugger.
