Curtis Granderson knows he can hit.
After all, he is a three-time All-Star and 14-year veteran with 297 home runs and 816 RBIs to his name. But even he needs reminders of how to refocus and get back to basics when he goes through struggles.
Enter Mets hitting coaches Kevin Long and Pat Roessler, who seemed to have said just the right thing to turn around Granderson’s season.
“[I] try not to chase too many pitches out of the zone,” Granderson said. “Kevin Long and [Roessler] have both reminded me that I haven’t been doing that.
