PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. -- New York Mets right fielder Curtis Granderson's pinkeye is pretty much behind him, but doctors have recommended he use eyeglasses rather than contact lenses for a few more days. As a result, Granderson will be unable to enter Grapefruit League action until the beginning of next week at the earliest, he said Saturday morning.
Granderson is expected to continue as the Mets' leadoff hitter this season. He hit .259 with 26 home runs and 70 RBIs in 580 at-bats last season.
