Curtis Granderson receives Clemente Award for philanthropy

Curtis Granderson cut short his European vacation, skipping a planned stop in Spain, in order to be at Wrigley Field in his native Chicago on Friday.

Not only will the historic ballpark be hosting its first World Series game since 1945 as the Cubs face the Indians in Game 3 of the Fall Classic, but Granderson also will be honored pregame as MLB's Roberto Clemente Award winner for his philanthropic activity.

The New York Mets outfielder will be recognized for his work with his Grand Kids Foundation, which he founded nine years ago.
