PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. -- New York Mets right fielder Curtis Granderson likely will be cleared to play in Friday's Grapefruit League game against the Miami Marlins, manager Terry Collins said.
Granderson has been dealing with a suspected case of pinkeye this week. He threw, ran and hit on Wednesday while wearing glasses rather than contact lenses.
"Just as a precaution with this conjunctivitis, you've got to take your three days," Collins said. "But he feels good. The medicine has worked. Tomorrow he won't go on the trip. But he'll be ready for Friday.
