Cuomo cancels plan to ‘scalp’ $5,500 Mets tickets

ALBANY — Gov. Cuomo has canceled two political fund-raisers in which he was planning to offer Mets World Series tickets for $5,500 apiece, sources said.

Cuomo returned tickets for about 40 luxury seats to Games 3 and 4 at Citi Field on Friday and Saturday, according to a source close to Cuomo.

“Given the overwhelming demand for tickets for Friday and Saturday night’s games, we have decided to reschedule this weekend’s events to a future date so that more tickets are available,” a Cuomo campaign spokesperson said.

“We will all be cheering on the Amazin’s this weekend as they make history and bring down the Royals.
