With the Mets on the verge of closing out Chicago in the National League Championship Series, the cursed Cubbies are turning to a bit of movie magic to help save their season Wednesday night.
“Back to the Future Part II” wasn’t the only big screen reality where the Cubs won a World Series, pulling it off in the 1993 flick “Rookie of the Year.” Now Thomas Ian Nicholas – who portrayed Henry Rowengartner, the hard-throwing 12-year-old who pitched them to the title – will be on hand at Wrigley Field for NLCS Game 4.
It’ll mark a first for Nicholas.
