After Thursday evening’s victory over the Hudson Valley Renegades, the Brooklyn Cyclones came into Friday evening’s game three of the New York Penn League semi-finals one win away from a trip to the championship series. They fell behind in the top of the first, when Matt Cleveland gave up a solo homer to Hudson Valley’s Hill Alexander. The Cyclones tied the game in the bottom half of the inning on a sacrifice fly from Luke Ritter that allowed Antoine Duplantis to score from third. Hudson Valley scored a run in the second off of Cleveland, and a run in the third off of Dan Goggin to take a 3-1 lead.
