Sandy Alderson, after watching his team get embarrassed by Clayton Kershaw and the Dodgers Thursday night, finally bit the bullet Friday and called up Michael Conforto from Double-A.
You know he did it begrudgingly, but after watching that slop the Mets called a lineup Thursday night, even Sandy knew what had to be done.
Now, I'm sure somewhere in the back of Sandy's mind, he's already dreaming of giving the fans and media a smug "I told you so" if this kid struggles, but after another day of John Mayberry and Eric Campbell and Anthony Recker, Alderson had to know Conforto can't be any worse than what it here now.
