Mets OF Michael Conforto and LHP Josh Smoker played in a rehab game for Single-A St. Lucie on Thursday night.

Conforto played nine innings in centerfield and 3-for-4 with a pair of singles, a double, one run scored, and an RBI.

Smoker pitched a scoreless inning, allowing one hit and striking out one.

Conforto, who was selected as a reserve for the All-Star Game, was placed on the 10-day disabled list on July 1 (retroactive to June 28) with a bruised left hand and is eligible to return on July 8. He said his hand is better and he expects to be ready for the All-Star Game, according to Mike Puma of the New York Post.
