Manager Terry Collins was a passenger in a taxi cab accident in Atlanta on Thursday night, but was not seriously injured, Collins told reporters after Friday's night's game.
Collins suffered some cuts on his face and forehead when the taxi he was riding in hit into a truck near the team's hotel, according to Newday's Anthony Rieber.
Without any other effects than the cuts on his head, Collins managed in Friday night's game, a 6-3 win over the Braves.
He is now the third person with the Mets to be involved in a taxi accident since 2004.
