Mets manager Terry Collins used RH reliever Jim Henderson during Wednesday's game despite the fact that Henderson threw 34 pitches on Tuesday night.
Henderson entered a scoreless game in relief of Logan Verrett in the seventh inning and proceeded to allow a single to Martin Prado before walking Justin Bour and J.T. Realmuto. At that point, Collins removed him and replaced him with Hansel Robles.
Henderson, 33, missed the majority of the last two seasons due to shoulder surgery.
After the game, Collins suggested that it was a must-win for the Mets due to their slow start and the reaction from the fans and media.
