Mets manager Terry Collins is excited for the upcoming season, although he does face some unique challenges, he told Mets Hot Stove on Thursday night.
Entering his sixth season as the Mets' skipper, Collins is amazed that he's just 43 games shy of becoming the longest-tenured manager in club history. Collins called New York a "tremendous place to manage" and added that being in baseball, "you want to manage on the biggest stage, and that's where I'm at."
Collins also discussed the difficulty of getting everyone enough playing time, saying that the players "have to buy into it.
