The mysterious “fatigue” issue with Noah Syndergaard’s right arm hasn’t been cleared up a day later. The Mets put the All-Star right-hander through a battery of tests, but team doctors came away with the same impression: Syndergaard merely was tired when his fastball dipped to 91 mph Friday night, and he left in the fifth inning of a 3-1 loss to the Nationals.
“We have nothing else to go on except what the doctors have said. From the tests, he’s just tired,” Mets manager Terry Collins said Saturday before the third game of the weekend series between the two NL East rivals at Citi Field.
