The New York Mets have been hot lately, as they’ve won their last three straight games. They’ll go for the four-game sweep over the Arizona Diamondbacks on Thursday.
During their 9-0 win over Arizona on Wednesday, the Mets hit five home runs. Todd Frazier had two (his 19th and 20th of the year), Jeff McNeil had two (his 19th and 20th) and Brandon Nimmo had a solo shot in the first inning (his fifth). The Mets continued their dominance on Thursday, and on the fifth home run of the day (a solo shot from Tomas Nido in the fifth inning), the infamous Home Run Apple at Citi Field stopped working.
