Chase Utley's appeal won't be heard until next week, source says

Chase Utley's appeal hearing for his two-game suspension won't be heard by Major League Baseball until Monday, a source confirmed.

The Los Angeles Times first reported news of the hearing date.

The Dodgers second baseman was suspended by MLB for two games after an illegal slide into second base in Game 2 of the National League Division Series last Saturday broke Mets shortstop Ruben Tejada's right leg. Tejada will miss the rest of the postseason but limped out to cheers during player introductions before Game 3 at Citi Field on Monday night.
