Mets outfielder Yoenis Cespedes left Sunday's 3-2 loss to the Rockies with a sore right quadriceps, he told reporters.
Cespedes told reporters via an interpreter he felt tightness in his right quad on Saturday and again Sunday and needed to be taken out of the game for precautionary measures.
He singled and scored in his only at-bat in the first inning, but was replaced by Brandon Nimmo in the top of the second.
"He was a little sore by the time he got on first, and he was kind of hitting at it.
