PORT ST. LUCIE (CBSNewYork) — Yoenis Cespedes‘ vehicle du jour Friday was a tricked-out Jeep.
It was the fifth different gaudy ride the Mets slugger drove to spring training this week.
The white and red Jeep includes his No. 52 painted on the hood, custom LED lights all around, custom wheels and red leather seats stitched to look like a baseball glove.
Alex Vega, who owns the Miami-based company that customized eight vehicles for Cespedes, told the New York Post it is “one of the craziest Jeeps I have ever built.”
On Thursday, Cespedes, who signed a three-year, $75 million contract last month, drove to camp in a cherry red Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione that retails for about $250,000.
