Yoenis Cespedes kept his workout limited Saturday: He did leg exercises.
But the Mets outfielder, two days removed from receiving a cortisone shot for his barking left shoulder, said he still plans to play Game 1 of the World Series on Tuesday in Kansas City.
“I thought I probably could have done a lot more today, but I didn’t want to push myself,” Cespedes said. “I want to give myself another day before I really start doing stuff again.”
Cespedes left Game 4 of the NLCS because he couldn’t lift the shoulder and later downplayed the idea that his morning golf game caused the discomfort.
