Mets outfielder Yoenis Cespedes left Sunday's game against the San Diego Padres in the third inning with a sore left thumb.
Cespedes appeared to suffer the injury while sliding into third on a stolen base. He stayed in to run the bases but manager Mickey Callaway replaced him with Brandon Nimmo before the bottom of the inning.
Cespedes was 2-for-2 with a double, two stolen bases and two runs scored prior to leaving the game.
