Yoenis Cespedes launched two home runs as the Mets scored 12 straight runs to blow out the Nationals, 12-5, on Thursday night at First Data Field in Port St. Lucie.
Things you should know about today's game...
1) Cespedes hit two of the Mets' four home runs. His first started a nine-run rally in the fourth inning after the Mets had fallen behind, 5-0, in the first two innings. He now has five homers this spring.
2) Brandon Nimmo continued his excellent spring, lacing three hits in five at-bats, including doubles off Nationals starter Tanner Roark and closer Sean Doolittle.
