Cespedes injures quadriceps on sliding catch

NEW YORK -- The injured-riddled New York Mets received another blow Friday, when outfielder Yoenis Cespedes departed after three innings with what the team called a strained right quadriceps.

Cespedes made a sliding catch in center field on Ben Revere's fly ball in his final inning in the field before departing the game at Citi Field against the Washington Nationals.

Juan Lagares entered the game for Cespedes.

With only two games remaining until the All-Star break, it is not clear how the Mets will handle Cespedes' injury.
