PORT ST. LUCIE — Stop horsing around.
With a circus-like atmosphere at Mets camp becoming more Barnum & Bailey by the day, manager Terry Collins wants his team to take a more business-like approach.
After Noah Syndergaard and Yoenis Cespedes rode on horseback Tuesday across the team’s spring-training complex, Collins said he spoke to players about putting the focus on the upcoming season.
“The fun time is over, it’s time to get ready for baseball,” Collins said.
Syndergaard and Cespedes’ surprise arrival came after a week in which Cespedes grabbed the spotlight by arriving in six different fancy vehicles, which exceeded $1 million in total value.
