On Thursday, the New York Mets made the decision that many fans were hoping they’d make. They ultimately chose to part ways with manager Mickey Callaway after two seasons. Despite finishing 86-76 this year, the front office felt they were better off going with someone else at that position for the future.
Now, that leaves an impending decision for this ballclub. Who takes the place of Callaway? Well, the shortlist may include guys such as Joe Girardi, Joe Maddon, and former Mets center fielder Carlos Beltran. However, according to Andy Martino of SNY, Beltran doesn’t even want the job.
