SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – As Carlos Beltran maintains his innocence, the Mets appear in no hurry to question their new manager about his involvement in the Astros’ alleged sign-stealing scheme.
A day after The Athletic reported that Beltran and Alex Cora played a key role in the Astros’ sign stealing in 2017 – which included the placement of a camera in Minute Maid Park – and could be interviewed by MLB as part of an investigation, Beltran indicated he isn’t fearing repercussions.
“I’m not concerned,” Beltran said in a text message to The Post on Thursday.
