Playing his first career game in right field Tuesday night, Michael Conforto made a terrific throw to get Jake Arrieta trying to score at home plate.
Home-plate umpire Eric Cooper initially called Arrieta safe, but the play was overturned as the Mets went on to beat the Cubs, 2-1.
"It was a great throw," Mets manager Terry Collins said. "He's got a good arm and we know he's an accurate thrower. We've seen it in the past."
Although Yoenis Cespedes has played both center and left field this season, his preference is to remain in left.
