Noah Syndergaard didn't pitch a perfect game Tuesday night, but, for Mets fans, it really was a perfect game. Sure, it wasn't 27 up, 27 down, but other than Noah fliriting with perfection, it was rather angst free. The Mets scored two runs in the first, the Padres stink and the Mets finished it off with two in the 8th. Only a small rally in the seventh gave Mets fans a little pause, but that was over quickly.
There was no second guessing of Terry Collins, no ripping of players and no reason for fans to blame ownership for everything that goes wrong.
