Well the Mets organization got what they wanted on Tuesday night … a crowd that didn’t dip all that much in numbers, and certainly didn’t dip at all in enthusiasm. If anything, the crowd seemed more electric than it did on Monday afternoon, and that was just coming from my television screen. Dare I say … and remember, I’m old … that Tuesday night’s crowd sounded like the 80’s came back.
Of course, it was Harvey Night … and that had a little something to do with it. If the Mets’ baseball people were as smart as their marketing arm, they’d be unstoppable.
