Cabrera's pinch HR helps Mets sweep D-backs

NEW YORK -- The Mets' desire to give Asdrubal Cabrera ample rest this season hasn't always been easy to accomplish, as the team has relied extensively on its most consistent hitter with others slumping up and down the lineup. Even Sunday, when manager Mickey Callaway finally found a chance to give Cabrera a day off, the second baseman found himself in the mix.

Cabrera's pinch-hit, go-ahead, two-run homer in the seventh inning lifted the Mets to a 4-1 win over the D-backs, capping their first sweep of at least three games at Citi Field since 2016.
