Cabrera was ejected Thursday, strolled across field to leave

Mets SS Asdrubal Cabrera was ejected by home plate umpire Angel Hernandez during Thursday's 1-0 loss to the Nationals in West Palm Beach, FL.

Cabrera was irritated after asking for time during his at-bat in the fourth inning and it not being granted by Hernandez. On the next pitch, Cabrera lined a single to center field.

While running to first base, Cabrera glanced back at Hernandez. After arriving at first base, he was ejected.

Mets manager Terry Collins came out to argue with Hernandez, but was not ejected.

Because of the configuration of the ballpark, Cabrera had to walk across the entire field to leave, strolling slowly the entire way before exiting through a door in right field.
