WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. -- Mets shortstop Asdrubal Cabrera was ejected in the fourth inning of Thursday's game with the Nationals.
Cabrera argued with home plate umpire Angel Hernandez after he was denied a timeout call before a pitch from Nats starter Erick Fedde that was deemed a called strike. Cabrera stood and argued with the umpire before Hernandez instructed him to get back in the batter's box.
Cabrera lined the next pitch up the middle for the Mets' first hit off Fedde. But as he made his way to first base, Cabrera looked back and appeared to say something to Hernandez.
