Bruce exits Mets' game with right calf cramp

ST. LOUIS -- Just as their lineup was starting to approach something close to whole, the Mets lost another player to injury.

Outfielder Jay Bruce left Wednesday's game against the Cardinals in the second inning with a right calf cramp, shortly after legging out a bloop double to left. Two batters after his opposite-field hit, Bruce signaled to the Mets' dugout, where trainer Ray Ramirez emerged to accompany him off the field.
