Brodie Van Wagenen’s unique perspective starts with historic father-in-law

When Brodie Van Wagenen took his new job as general manager of the Mets, he brought along knowledge he had picked up over the years from his family — in particular a message that resonated from his father-in-law.

Of course, when that father-in-law is Neil Armstrong, the first man to walk on the moon, there’s plenty to choose from, even when you have spent your professional life in baseball and not outer space.
