Braves Shut Out Mets 6-0, Sweep 3-Game Series

NEW YORK -- Julio Teheran threw a one-hit shutout Sunday afternoon as the Atlanta Braves completed a three-game sweep of the New York Mets with a 6-0 win at Citi Field.

The Braves (23-46) have won a season-high five straight - their longest winning streak since a season-opening five game streak last year. The Mets (36-32) have dropped six of eight, all against sub-.500 teams.

Teheran (3-7) walked none and struck out seven in throwing 120 pitches, 82 for strikes. Only a clean single leading off the third inning by Mets left fielder Michael Conforto kept Teheran from equaling Hall of Famer Jim Bunning, who threw a perfect game against the Mets for the Philadelphia Phillies on Father's Day in 1964.
