Brandon Sproat is the Mets’ sole representative at the 2024 Futures Game, to be held on July 13th as part of the All-Star Game festivities. Sproat, named the 14th best prospect in the Amazin’ Avenue pre-season list, was drafted, and not signed, by the Rangers in 2019 and the Mets in 2022, before eventually signing in 2023 after being taken in the second round.
A 23-year-old right-handed pitcher from Pensacola, Florida, Sproat has been impressive both in Brooklyn and Binghamton this season, putting up a 1.75 ERA across both levels in his first professional season.
