It’s a pain in the neck.
Brandon Nimmo was a late scratch from the lineup Friday night for Triple-A Syracuse with neck soreness, the Mets said. He will be reevaluated on Saturday.
Nimmo has been on the injured list since May 22 with a bulging disk in his neck. He was originally slated to play his sixth rehab game Friday at Syracuse, batting leadoff and playing center field, but he was replaced by Rajai Davis. Nimmo did not play on Thursday, either.
In five rehab games — two with Syracuse and three with Single-A St. Lucie — Nimmo was batting 2-for-14 with six walks.
