The New York Mets, without a doubt, finished the 2019 regular season on a high note. The team ended up with a record of 86-76.
Despite not reaching the postseason (for the third consecutive year), the finish was very impressive for a ballclub that was 11 games under-.500 at one point.
If this team just finds a way to correct the low points (the bullpen), they could become even more competitive in 2020. Some people think they could make a playoff run, others believe a World Series run is intact. Outfielder Brandon Nimmo is part of that latter group of individuals.
