In the 2010 draft, the Blue Jays had two supplemental picks between the first and second rounds. They took Aaron Sanchez at No. 34 and Noah Syndergaard at 38 (if Yankees fans want to agonize, their club took the no-hit shortstop Cito Culver 32nd).
Syndergaard, rightfully, has gained wider praise for his stellar debut last year and rise this year to arguably the most overpowering pitcher in the sport. But Sanchez’s rotation work could be as vital for the Blue Jays.
