Blevins: 'I don't think I've been this angry with baseball in a while'

The Mets bullpen blew a 6-4 lead by allowing four runs in the seventh inning in Sunday's 8-7 loss to the Milwaukee Brewers.

Relievers Robert Gsellman, Jerry Blevins and Paul Sewald surrendered four runs, four hits and a walk in one inning after Zack Wheeler settled down after a three-run third inning.

Gsellman retired two of the first three batters he faced before giving up a two-out walk to Jesus Aguilar. Manager Mickey Callaway opted to bring in Blevins, who had not given up a run in his last 11 appearances entering Sunday, to face Travis Shaw.
