Baseball America has published its rankings of all of the minor league systems in baseball, and the Mets rank twelfth among the thirty organizations. That’s down a few spots from the eighth-place ranking that BA gave the system in 2024 and a few more from the fifth-place ranking that BA handed it in 2023.
BA notes that many of the Mets’ position players missed a lot of time to injuries last year, which is obviously true, and mentions that several of the team’s top pitching prospects are close to the big leagues.
As for the Mets’ division rivals, the Nationals rank fourteenth, the Phillies twentieth, the Marlins twenty-first, and the Braves twenty-eighth according to BA.
