MIAMI — Bartolo Colon has no limits. Hours after Matt Harvey left the question of his innings limit and availability hanging over the Mets' possible playoff hopes, Colon went out and made a mockery of limits. The 42-year-old pitched a shutout as the Mets beat the Marlins 7-0 at Marlins Park.
The big righthander mowed down the Marlins, scattering nine hits and did not issue a walk. He struck out two as he won his 13th game this season and Mets fans at Marlins Park chanted “Lets Go Bart” to cheer him on.
The 42-yearold is the first Mets pitcher to throw a complete game this season.
