The scary part is the Mets won’t unveil their big guns until Saturday and Sunday.
It’s Jacob deGrom and Matt Harvey in succession for the Mets, and suddenly it seems as if the Marlins will be lucky to find a win in this four-game series after getting leveled by Bartolo Colon on Friday.
Colon’s seven strong innings and terrific defense from Juan Lagares on a night he received his 2014 Gold Glove award led the Mets to their sixth straight victory, 4-1, before 38,753 at Citi Field.
The six-game winning streak is the Mets’ first since April 2011.
