NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/AP) — New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman says Mets and Yankees fans hoping to see playoff games should make sure they don’t fall for ticket scams.
Issuing a consumer alert Sunday, Schneiderman said scammers often target major sporting events.
“New Yorkers have much to be excited about with both the Mets and the Yankees in the playoffs,” he said in a news release. “Fans should follow a few simple steps to avoid falling victim to scammers who may target ticket buyers for the big games.
