Atlanta Braves reacquire Eric O'Flaherty from Pittsburgh Pirates

The Pittsburgh Pirates have traded left-hander Eric O'Flaherty to the Atlanta Braves in exchange for cash considerations, the clubs announced.

The Braves announced he will be assigned to the major league roster and will wear No. 34.

O'Flaherty had signed a minor league contract with the Pirates last month.

O'Flaherty, who finished last season with the Mets, pitched for the Braves from 2009 to '13. His ERA with the Braves was 1.99 and he held left-handed batters to a .190 average during his time in Atlanta.

He had Tommy John surgery in 2013.
