LOS ANGELES -- A Southern California man has been charged with knocking a man unconscious at Dodger Stadium after Game 1 of the National League Division Series between the Mets and the Dodgers.
Prosecutors charged Michael Rae Papayans of Palos Verdes with felony assault Thursday. He is free on bail and could get seven years in prison.
In the Dodger Stadium incident on Oct. 9, prosecutors say Papayans and his mother began yelling at a group of people -- one of whom was wearing Mets clothing -- in the parking lot. Authorities say Papayans punched a 50-year-old man, who hit the pavement and was knocked unconscious.
