Antonio Bastardo had his first Mets moment on Sunday in SD!

Mets LH reliever Antonio Bastardo entered Sunday's game in the eighth inning with the bases loaded, no outs and a one-run lead.

He then threw 15 consecutive fastballs to get two strikeouts and a pop out that ended the inning and protected the lead.

"He's got a lot of late life on that fastball," Bastardo's catcher, Kevin Plawecki, said after the game. "Given the hitters that were up and given the way that pitch was working today, it was the best pitch to stick with."

Bastardo had been shaking off Plawecki's call for off-speed pitches to the inning's final batter.
